New york city continues to take technology and social media platforms to the next level. The fifth annual Internet week NYC was presented by yahoo. This year the internet week headquarters was located in New York’s trendy downtown neighborhood, Soho. It conveniently took place in a rather popular loft located at 82nd and Mercer. The empty space was completely transformed for four days. Walls plastered with popular logos, interactive art and technology installations, panel discussions and portable photo booths brought to you by mvs studios (markvans.com).
One of the perks to attending was Aereo’s (https://aereo.com/home) exclusive 4-month free subscription when you apply at the headquarters. Aereo is a unique technology which offers the ability to watch live HD TV online. Membership includes an individual remote antenna that is used to access over 25 broadcast channels, 40 hours of remote DVR storage and usage on up to five devices. Aereo also provided a happy-snacking-hour brought to you by popchips (popchips.com). Closing party took place in the world recognized IAC building. DJ Mia Moretti and electric violinist Caitlin Moe took the stage to spin electronic tunes till the wee hours of the morning. Celebs like Wilmer Valderrama, along with comedians Jason Bateman and Will Arnette were on-site enjoying cocktails, finger foods and closing out one heck of a week.
